2012 SUMMER TRAINING

2-7 July 2012, Anaheim, California, U.S.A.

CRYSTALLIZATION-STUDY OF THE MINOR PROPHETS

"Praise the Lord for the ever-existing, self-existing, glorious, righteous, holy, loving, and radiant Triune God, the Lord of heaven and earth. He is God from eternity to eternity. Such a Wonderful One being our Lord, as the God-man at the right hand of God, possessing all authority in heaven and on earth, is the centrality and universality in God's economy! This wonderful revelation concerning the centrality and universality of Christ is being emphasized in the "Crystallization-study of the Minor Prophets" during the 2012 Summer Training, held July 2 through 7, 2012 in Anaheim, California.

"As we dive into these twelve messages, we find ourselves in the midst of a history— the divine history within the human history. It began with God's intention in His eternal economy where He and His chosen people would be a universal couple in an eternally delightful marriage as the consummation of the divine romance. In this glorious consummation in the new heaven and the new earth, Christ will be the centrality and universality for eternity. However for this to be fulfilled, Christ must first be the centrality and universality in our inner being today. When a group of these ones live such a church life, then in the church Christ will be increasingly the centrality and universality. The consummation of this will be the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah! God's operation is heading toward this goal.

2012 Summer Training Banners:

God's economy in His loving chastisement of Israel,
in His governmental dealing with Israel,
and in His judgment upon the nations
issues in the manifestation of Christ as the centrality
and universality in God's economy to bring in the kingdom,
the age of restoration.

We believers in Christ are members of the Body of Christ
as the organism of the Triune God, and we should aspire
to be the overcomers, the mighty ones,
who will enlarge the manifestation of Christ
by walking according to the mingled spirit,
who will return with Christ to deal with Antichrist
at the battle of Armageddon,
and who will be His co-kings in the millennium.

The church as the house of Jehovah, the Father's house,
is the dwelling place of God—the place where God can
have His satisfaction and rest and where God lives and moves
to accomplish His will, to satisfy the desire of His heart,
and to carry out His eternal economy to consummate
the New Jerusalem as His eternal goal for His eternal expression.

We can live in the divine history within human history
and enter into a new revival to end this age
by arriving at the highest peak of the divine revelation
of the eternal economy of God through the ministry of the age,
by living the life of a God-man, and by shepherding people
according to God for the building up of the church
as the house of God, the mutual abode of God and man.

Message One: The Centrality and Universality of Christ
and the Union of God and His People to Be a Universal Couple

"The first two crystals of this training are the centrality and universality of Christ and the union of God and His redeemed to be a universal couple. What is meant by the expression the centrality and universality of Christ? In Colossians 1:15-18 Christ is the centrality, the One who must have the first place in all things. In 3:10-11 Christ is the universality as the new man where He is all and in all. A clear picture of Christ as the centrality and universality in the move of God's economy is also seen in Ezekiel 1 where Christ is the hub, the rim and the spokes of the great wheel.

God's way to make Christ the centrality and universality began in us through the developing love in the divine romance. He attracts us with His strong and prevailing determination to have a counterpart. He courts us with His courting word in the entire Bible. As we experience this in a corporate way, we allow Christ to be increasingly the centrality and universality in the church. At the very end of the Bible, we see that God will enjoy a married life with His people, in eternity and for eternity.

This matter concerning Christ as the centrality and universality in God's economy is deep in God's heart and it needs to touch our heart so that our being is opened. When our heart is touched, we will let Christ wrought into our being as the centrality and universality of God's economy. We are fully aware that this takes place in the midst of a world filled with chaos, rebellion, and confusion. Praise the Lord for God's intention to have an organic union with His chosen people (Hosea 2:19-20), to be our life and we, His expression; in this way God and His chosen people become a universal couple (Rev. 22:17).

Message Two: The Restoration of Israel—
Transformation in Life by God's Love

Concerning this romance, it was not a "dream romance" on human side. In the book of Hosea, the church typified by the wife of Hosea is portrayed as a harlot for she utterly forsook her Husband, and even the people of Israel being a people of apostasy. Hosea had to experience what was in God's heart toward His spouse who forsook Him and how God Himself had to deal with her with a view to restore her. What God is doing in the universe with the nation of Israel and with us, both as the church and individually, is that He is operating to bring us to the point of being restored.

Saints, despite all our apostasy, harlotry, idolatry and our turning away, God cannot give us up. Thank the Lord that He is restoring us by first, healing our apostasy; second, He will love us freely; and third, His anger has turned away from us. Towards the end of Hosea, Israel has become a son; thus, the outcome of this book is transformation in life by God's love. May we be revived one by one, to be those who are restored fully back to Him!

Message Three: Three Implications concerning Christ

All the three implications concerning Christ in Hosea 11:1 and 4 are related to our experience, appreciation, and enjoyment of Him for the sake of His purpose. At the beginning of the book of Hosea, Israel was a harlot. At the end of Hosea, Israel has become a son. Thank the Lord! He loves us so much that He is able to make sons out of a harlot. This son in Hosea 11:1 implies Christ as the Son of God and also God's chosen people who become sons of God by virtue of their being organically united with Christ although they became exceedingly evil. This point helps us to see that the first implication concerning Christ related to His being the unique begotten Son of God and the firstborn Son of God is a great matter. Through the processes that He went through, all of us could be included in Him for the fulfillment of His heart's desire.

Then He drew us to Himself with the cords of a man, with bands of love. This is an indication of God's love being divine but reaches us through Christ's humanity. The cords of a man through which God draws us include Christ's incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. While we were enemies, God commended His love toward us. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. These are the cords of a man with bands of love.

Finally it issues in Him feeding us with Christ, that we may be constituted with Him as the hidden manna to be His dwelling place and testimony, consummating in the New Jerusalem. May we care for our eating of Christ as the real manna in a regular way morning by morning, day by day. Eating is the way to be constituted as God's overcomers, His dwelling place.

Message Four: The Central Thought of the Book of Joel
with Its Controlling Prophecy of Four Kinds of Locusts

In this universe there are two histories: the human history and the divine history. In the Minor Prophets the human history is clearly defined and is signified by the four kinds of locusts in Joel 1:4, sent by God to chastise His people and used by God to afford all the necessary facilities in the environment for the carrying out of His purpose. However, in the midst of this, the divine history is operating. The divine history is with Christ and His mighty ones, the overcomers (3:11) who will come back to deal with the nations, to save the remnant of Israel and to complete God's economy.

The need is urgent for us to have a clear view concerning the age that we are living in, in which our God is still moving towards the building up of His Body. As members of the Body, we should aspire to be the overcomers, the mighty ones, who will return with Christ to deal with Antichrist. Our goal eventually is to enlarge the manifestation of Christ. Brothers and sisters, this vision will affect our living to take the overcoming way so that we may become His mighty ones who can match the unique mighty One!

Message Five: The Universal History according to God's Economy—
the Divine History within the Human History

In order to become the Lord's mighty ones, we need to match the unique mighty One by being those who are living, moving, and serving in the divine history within human history. God's history in man began with Christ's incarnation and continued with His processes of human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. He ascended to the heavens and then descended as the Spirit to produce the church as the corporate expression of the Triune God. The church today is the enlargement of the manifestation of Christ. Thus, the church also is part of the divine history. At the end of this part of the divine history, Christ will come back, descending with His overcomers as His army (Joel 3:11) to defeat Antichrist and His army and cast him into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:20). Following this, the thousand-year kingdom will come; eventually, this kingdom will consummate in the New Jerusalem, which will be the ultimate, the consummate step of God's history.

May the desire to become God's mighty ones be our desire. In the Lord's recovery today, we are being perfected to be such ones who live not merely in the human history but we are living in the church, in the divine history. To keep us in the divine history of the new creation within the human history of the old creation, we need to exercise our new spirit to contact God all the time. Praise the Lord that we are in the divine history, experiencing and enjoying the mysterious, divine things for our organic salvation so that we may become His overcoming bride.

Message Six: The Descent of the Mighty Ones

After receiving the words in message four and five, we need to consider and choose to live in the divine history within the human history. The prophet Joel described such ones the mighty ones who are proper human beings experiencing the things of human life, yet all the human things are not the focus of their being. They are the matured, built- up believers who have lived in the reality of the Body of Christ and who have become the bride of Christ for His satisfaction. These ones understand the necessity of spiritual warfare and realized that spiritual warfare is based on the victory of Christ. As those who are empowered in the Lord and in the might of His strength, they are able to conquer the satanic chaos and carry out the divine economy.

Eventually, the Lord will come with His mighty ones in His second return to the earth. In Daniel 2:34- 35, He will come as a corporate smashing stone that becomes a great mountain that fills the whole earth Those who comprise this corporate smiting stone with Christ are the mighty ones, the co-kings with Christ. They will be skilled in war and even experts in war; they will be the mighty ones—beautiful to the Lord but terrifying to the enemy. We must choose to be among them, allowing the Lord to work and reproduce Himself as the mighty One within us.

Message Seven: Christ Coming Back
as the Real David to Restore His Kingdom

When Christ returns, He will come back as the real David to restore His kingdom. God must have a kingdom on this earth. He must have a sphere, a domain, a realm, with His chosen people in which to exercise His administration under His divine authority. Today, this kingdom must be in the local churches. In the local churches, we must recover the reality of the kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. We must be the kingdom of God by joining with the King and being one with the King, the One who has the authority and who holds the key of David.

We can do so practically by the exercise of prayer that fights the spiritual warfare— the prayer that fights to rout the enemy, to deal the enemy a death blow, to subdue and conquer him, to bind and cast him away, to open the door of the kingdom, to release prisoners, and to bring in the kingdom of Christ. In other words, our concern has to do with a battle for the kingdom, with the opening of doors, with shutting the gates, with the exercise of the keys of David, and with the coming of Christ. Today is the time for us to rise up and pray! May we be those who are prepared to come back with the King to the earth to fight Antichrist and to crush human government.

Message Eight: The Greater Jonah

Jonah is a type of Christ, the greater Jonah, in His death, burial and resurrection. He came forth from Hades in resurrection, and in resurrection He became the life-giving Spirit for the preaching, the spreading, of the gospel to all the Gentile nations. All these are for the producing of the church.

This book of Jonah eventually indicates to us that God is not the God only of a certain people. He is God of all peoples. In this gospel age, the Lord is charging us to preach the gospel not for an exclusive group but for the whole world and disciple all nations. Let us be like Paul, to go to every nation and preach the gospel of God as the power of God to both the Jews and the Gentiles.

Message Nine: Christ's "Goings Forth" from the Days of Eternity

The goings forth of Christ is the journey Christ took to reach us. By Christ's goings forth from the days of eternity, Christ as the Word of God in eternity past becomes the New Jerusalem in eternity future. On the one hand, Christ is traveling through time and is approaching His final destination in His coming back to establish His kingdom on earth. However, more intrinsically, He is also traveling within us to make His home deeply in our heart, if we would allow Him and not resist Him. We realize that it is in the midst of a chaotic environment, when we face many frustrations from the enemy from many different angles that the Lord goes forth within us.

The day will come soon in which He will complete His journey. We will be ushered into the eternal habitation of God, where God and man not only are joined, united, and mingled together but even incorporated together to become the eternal dwelling place of God and man. We must be for that building and we must be that building. This is what we are living for. The meaning of our human life is the eternal building of God and man. Praise the Lord!

Message Ten: The Building of the House of Jehovah

The Lord's coming back depends on the building up of God's dwelling place. The central thought of Haggai's prophecy is that the building of the house of Jehovah is related to the welfare of God's people today and to the coming of the millennial kingdom with its Messiah in the age of restoration. God's building is the corporate expression of the Triune God. Furthermore, God's building is the main subject of the Bible, God's primary work, the goal of all the other necessary works, and the central thought in the Scriptures. Thus, the Lord will not come back until the church as the Body of Christ and the Father's house is built up.

However, in the real situation today, God's recovered people cared more for their own houses than for God's house, for all seek their own things, not the things of Christ Jesus (Phil. 2:21). This was the situation of God's people who returned to Jerusalem from captivity to rebuild the temple but was interrupted through the opposition of the adversaries. As a result, the children of Israel began to rebuild houses for themselves and gradually forgot the building of the temple. How we need to be rescued from running to our own house and seek first His kingdom and His righteousness!

Message Eleven: Experiencing the Healing Christ in Malachi
for the Lord's Second Coming and the Consummation of the Age

We need to see and know the sign of the Lord's coming. First, we need to know about the great tribulation. Second, we need to know much concerning Antichrist. Third, we need to know something regarding the sign of the fig tree and finally we need to know the rapture of the saints. These are the prophecies in the Word of God concerning what is going to take place on the earth and it will all be fulfilled.

Seeing this, we need to be prepared, lived soberly and watchfully for that hour. Malachi shows us that we are in a degraded condition, being self-deceived, under Satan's authority of darkness. Seemingly we are worshipping and serving God, but in our self- deception, we did it mournfully, not at all happy that we are required to do these things. The reasons for obsession, self-deception is because we love the darkness rather than the light, pride, not receiving the love of the truth and not seeking the glory that is from the only God. Oh, how we need to overcome all the darkness of self-deception, which is obsession and experience the healing Christ for His second coming.

Message Twelve: The Revival Revealed in the Minor Prophets

Habakkuk 3:2a says, "O Jehovah, revive Your work / In the midst of the years." Among God's elect there has always been an aspiration to be revived; although we may not realize it, such an aspiration has been within us through all the years of our Christian life (Hab. 3:2a). We may become desolate but whenever we contact Christ who is the reality of resurrection, we are brought from the desolation to the resurrection, and this is a real revival to us.

The revival revealed in the Minor Prophets can be applied to the family, the church, the nations, the entire human race, and even to the whole universe; in principle, everything and everyone on earth are in the desolation of the two days spoken of in Hosea 6:2. The universal need for revival, for restoration, can be met only by the resurrected Christ. Hallelujah!

Brothers and sisters, the Lord desires to bring the churches into a new revival to end this age. We can enter into a new revival by arriving at the highest peak of the divine revelation through the ministry of the age, by living the life of a God-man and by shepherding people according to God. May the saints in all the churches throughout the earth see this revelation and rise up to pray that God would give us a new revival.
